How to make Apricot Brandy

Technally, this is fruit infused vodka, but the site calls it Brandy.I am assuming by adding sugar and increasing the sugar content is why they arew calling it "Brandy". You can use any fruit to make it! Even though I am a tea totaller, this looks good. I may make some for gifts this christmas! How to make Apricot Brandy

You can really do this with any fruit. Get a 1/2 gallon mason jar and a 750 ml bottle of vodka or everclear. Fill up the rest of the jar with your choice of lemon zest, peeled and thinly sliced ginger, very clean and trimmed fruit... put on the lid and leave it for a couple months, shaking it gently a few times a week.

After a couple months, strain the fruit, add simple syrup to taste, and put away again for a week or two. Blend thoroughly by shaking and pour into those fancy little baling wire-ceramic closure bottles you got at Cost Plus or which you saved up from that fancy french lemonade.

Yum.

I did apricots (fresh) and Santa Rosa plum & ginger. Am going to do candy cap mushroom and peach, as well.
